Reducing Cost

Providing remote power control to both facilities and IT staff eases the ability to set procedures in place to allow both to remote control power when power actions are needed.
We have seen lengthy and sometimes costly delays eliminated, saving companies money.
The ability to schedule under-utilized IT equipment's power off and then on when needed, save power consumption and reduces carbon foot print.
MO Server's IT & Facilities Power Management Replaces Multiple Tools and Vendor Specific Software
1. Vendor Independent: A unifying command console for all types of remote power units and service processor remote power capabilities eliminates the need to use vendor specific software for each of the remote power units that are in the data center
2. Command Line Access: we provide command line access if network has become degraded and you need quick, secure access or you are dialing in from a slow dial up line and all remote power commands are available from the command line; these commands may also be placed in scripts to turn off one or many devices with a single command!
3. Extensive and Automated Power down of Under-Utilized Servers attached to Remote Power units or Service Processors
4. Simplified Power Control that is system/target specific: We map all remote power devices that control power so the user does not have to know what outlet to turn off; they turn off one or many targets at a time with a single click and confirmation. We provide a command line mopoweron, mopoweroff, mopowercycle that is available to be placed in scritps to control power for one or many targets at one time.
5. More Management Framework Interfaces: Support interfaces to Tivoli and OpenView and CA and BMC management frameworks and soon will have interfaces to the “little four” including Hyperic. Remote power actions generate power operation alerts that may be forwarded to these frameworks automatically.
6. Management Platform ensure High Availability and Redundancy via Citrix XenServer/ NetAPPs based MO server: MO is fully redundant in software; our MO Server platform allows you to grow as large as you want without having to upgrade hardware each time you add more devices; XenServer and NetAPPs makes MO fully dynamic and redundant in hardware.
7. MO applications run on an eyeOS enabled platform: MO will run as a WEB OS based, eyeOS enabled desktop application not just a slow web browser application:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Zt35LLcMlcM This means any web enabled device may use MO applications and no client software is required!
8. MO provides “the ability from a single command window to send commands to a “gang” of 10s, 100s or 1000s targets for power control actions including off/on/cycle.
9. MO allows multiple plugs to be assigned to a single target: power actions on the target are automatically and easily applied to all plugs associated with the target.
10. MO provides an orderly shutdown of the OS prior to power off
MO Server's IT & Facilities Management Provides the Greatest Number of Ways to Monitor and Retrieve Environmental, Power Distribution, Remote Power units
Where temperature and humidity monitor is available, user may set high and low temperature/humidity threshold settings to generate alert or prescribe a predetermined action or allow facilities or IT staff to approve a suggested action.
Where power monitoring is available, user may specify low and high amp thresholds to generate an alert.
Where Power Distribution Units and UPS data is available, we will capture it.
